Box 4 Digital Group Ltd (T/A External Transport Manager) (“we”, “us”, “our”, “ETM”) is committed to making the External Transport Manager platform at externaltransportmanager.co.uk (the “Platform”) accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities and those who use assistive technologies.
We believe everyone should be able to find a Transport Manager, training provider or related service easily, regardless of ability or the device they use. This statement explains our commitment, the standard we are working towards, the limitations we are aware of, and how to tell us about any problems.
1. Our commitment
We aim to design and build the Platform so that it is perceivable, operable, understandable and robust for all users. We treat accessibility as an ongoing part of how we build and maintain the Platform, not a one-off task. As we add features and content, we work to keep them accessible and to improve areas that fall short.
2. The standard we aim for
We are working towards conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the widely recognised standard for accessible websites in the UK. In practice this means we aim to:
- provide text alternatives for meaningful images;
- ensure the Platform can be navigated using a keyboard;
- maintain sufficient colour contrast between text and background;
- use clear, consistent headings, labels and link text;
- make forms (including registration and enquiry forms) usable with assistive technologies;
- ensure content reflows and remains usable on smaller screens and when zoomed;
- avoid content that relies on colour alone to convey meaning.
3. Steps we take
To support accessibility we aim to use clear and simple language, logical page structure and semantic markup, descriptive page titles and headings, and form fields with associated labels. We review accessibility when we make significant changes and consider it when choosing third-party tools and components.
4. Known limitations
While we work towards WCAG 2.1 AA, we are aware that some parts of the Platform may not yet fully conform. Known or possible limitations include:
- some older listings and imported operator-register content may have inconsistent formatting or missing image descriptions;
- some images uploaded by members may lack alternative text, as this content is provided by third parties;
- certain embedded third-party content (such as maps, media or the payments checkout provided by GoCardless) may not be fully under our control or fully accessible;
- some PDFs or documents linked from the Platform may not be fully accessible;
- some interactive components and filters may have minor focus or labelling issues that we are working to resolve.
We are continuing to identify and fix these issues over time.
5. Alternative ways to get help
If any part of the Platform is difficult for you to use, we want to help. You can contact us directly and we will do our best to provide the information or assistance you need in a format that works for you, for example by email or over the phone.
6. How to report an accessibility problem
We welcome feedback. If you find a barrier or have a suggestion to improve accessibility, please tell us, including the page address and a short description of the problem and, if you can, the browser or assistive technology you were using.
- Email: info@externaltransportmanager.co.uk
- Telephone: 0208 088 8371
We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports promptly and to respond with a plan to address them.
7. Reviewing this statement
We will review and update this statement as the Platform changes and as we make accessibility improvements. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version.
