Modern Slavery Statement

Last updated: June 2026

This statement sets out the steps taken by Box 4 Digital Group Ltd (T/A External Transport Manager) (“we”, “us”, “our”, “ETM”) to understand and address the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. It reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our dealings.

Although as a small UK company we fall below the turnover threshold at which a statement is mandatory under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we publish this statement voluntarily because we believe modern slavery has no place in any business of any size.

1. About our business

External Transport Manager is an online marketplace that connects UK goods-vehicle operators with external Transport Managers, training providers and related transport-compliance services. We operate the Platform at externaltransportmanager.co.uk. As a digital business, our operations are based in the United Kingdom and our workforce and supply chain are relatively small.

2. Our commitment

We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour or human trafficking in any part of our business or our supply chains. We expect the same high standards from everyone we work with, including suppliers, contractors and partners. We support the aims of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and recognise our responsibility to act ethically and transparently.

3. Our people

We treat the people who work for and with us fairly and with respect. We ensure that:

  • everyone has the legal right to work in the UK and we carry out appropriate checks;
  • pay and working conditions meet or exceed applicable legal requirements;
  • no one is required to work against their will; and
  • anyone can raise concerns about wrongdoing, including any concern relating to modern slavery, without fear of reprisal.

4. Our supply chain

As a digital marketplace, our supply chain is mainly made up of providers of technology and professional services, for example web hosting, software tools, payment services (such as GoCardless), email and analytics providers, and professional advisers. We consider the risk of modern slavery within these UK and reputable established providers to be relatively low, but we remain alert to it and take it seriously.

5. The members on our Platform

We provide a marketplace that connects operators, Transport Managers and training providers; we do not employ or control these members and we are not party to the engagements they form with one another. We nonetheless expect all members to act lawfully and ethically, and our Terms & Conditions require lawful and professional conduct. We will take action, including removing members from the Platform, where we become aware of unlawful conduct.

6. Due diligence and risk management

In keeping with our size, we take a proportionate, risk-based approach. We:

  • favour reputable, established suppliers and service providers;
  • remain alert to indicators of modern slavery in our dealings;
  • expect suppliers to comply with applicable laws, including the Modern Slavery Act 2015; and
  • will review supplier relationships where credible concerns arise.

7. Raising concerns

We encourage anyone, staff, suppliers, members or members of the public, to report any concern about modern slavery connected to our business or Platform. Concerns can be raised in confidence by emailing info@externaltransportmanager.co.uk. We will treat all reports seriously and investigate appropriately.

8. Responsibility and review

Responsibility for this statement and for our approach to modern slavery sits with the directors of Box 4 Digital Group Ltd. We will review this statement periodically and update it as our business grows or our risks change. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version.
