I am a CPC-qualified External Transport Manager and founder of FleetGuard Solutions, providing practical transport management and compliance support to HGV operators.

I work with operators to establish and maintain the systems required for continuous and effective management of their Operator Licence. My approach is hands-on and evidence-led, with particular focus on vehicle roadworthiness, maintenance planning, driver compliance, tachograph monitoring, daily walkaround checks, defect management and ongoing compliance review.

My work includes regular operator compliance reviews, maintenance and PMI monitoring, tachograph and drivers' hours analysis, Working Time monitoring, driver infringement management and debriefs, OCRS monitoring, defect and rectification control, driver documentation, compliance action plans and preparation for DVSA visits and regulatory reviews.

I also support operators with implementing practical compliance systems and processes, including maintenance planners, vehicle and driver records, digital defect reporting, driver induction procedures, monitoring tools and management reporting.

I work with both established operators and businesses developing or rebuilding their transport operation. My aim is not simply to identify compliance issues, but to help operators understand what needs to change, put workable controls in place and maintain evidence that those controls are being actively managed.

Through FleetGuard Solutions, I provide ongoing External Transport Manager support as well as standalone compliance reviews, system setup and operator support.
