I’m Ricky Sprought, Director of 1stfleetcompliance Ltd, with over 15 years’ experience working across transport, fleet management, compliance and operational leadership.

I’ve built my career from the ground up, progressing through operational and management roles to senior transport leadership. This has given me hands-on experience of the day-to-day challenges operators face — not just an understanding of what compliance looks like on paper.

Throughout my career, I’ve been responsible for managing complex fleets and transport operations covering cars, vans, HGVs and specialist vehicles, supporting businesses operating across multiple locations and demanding sectors.

A major part of my experience is in Operator Licence compliance and FORS. I have held direct responsibility for Operator Licences and transport compliance systems, as well as leading businesses through FORS Bronze, Silver and Gold accreditation.

As an Advanced FORS Practitioner, I have successfully managed FORS Gold accreditation and reapproval, as well as supporting businesses through Bronze and Silver accreditation — including achieving Silver within a demanding timeframe to support a major tender requirement.
