I am an experienced transport and fleet management professional with over 15 years of experience within the transport, logistics, haulage and fleet compliance industries. Throughout my career, I have progressed through a variety of operational and management roles, developing extensive knowledge of transport legislation, DVSA requirements, Operator Licence compliance, fleet maintenance, driver management and depot operations.

I hold an International Road Haulage Transport Manager CPC and have significant practical experience in ensuring commercial vehicle fleets operate safely, efficiently and in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.

In my current and previous roles, my responsibilities have included managing fleet compliance across multiple Operator Licences, maintaining accurate vehicle and compliance records, coordinating preventative maintenance inspections, brake testing, MOTs and LOLER examinations, and ensuring vehicle defects are reported, rectified and signed off correctly. I have managed forward maintenance planners, arranged vehicle servicing and repairs, liaised with dealerships and maintenance providers, and monitored compliance documentation to ensure statutory requirements are met.

I have extensive experience with driver compliance, digital tachograph systems, driver card downloads, vehicle downloads and tachograph reporting. I have also managed vehicle tracking and CCTV systems, monitored driver identification and immobilisation systems, and produced fuel and AdBlue performance reports to support operational monitoring and cost control.

My experience at Runtech Ltd included supporting fleet compliance across a nationwide operation covering four Operator Licences. I was responsible for maintaining compliance documentation, supporting FORS requirements as a FORS Champion, assisting with RHA site audits, coordinating maintenance activities and planning specialist transport movements, including STGO heavy haulage using ESDAL.

Previously, I spent over 11 years progressing through seven roles at, ultimately becoming responsible for depot operations across multiple locations. In these positions, I managed a fleet of more than 80 HGV and 3.5-tonne vehicles, alongside 38 employed staff and over 140 self-employed drivers, supporting an operation delivering more than 10,000 home deliveries and installations per week.

My management responsibilities included transport planning, route allocation, workforce planning, driver performance, health and safety, customer service, budget management, supplier negotiations and operational reporting. I worked closely with fleet compliance teams to maintain legal standards, developed and implemented vehicle defect reporting processes, and introduced driver training initiatives to improve safety, efficiency and operational performance.

I am confident managing teams, coordinating multiple departments, resolving operational challenges and implementing procedures that improve compliance and efficiency. I have experience producing KPI reports, monitoring expenditure, controlling costs, managing suppliers and using performance data to identify areas for improvement.

I am IOSH qualified and hold additional First Aid and Fire Marshal training. I take a proactive approach to health and safety, risk management, driver development and continuous improvement, ensuring that compliance remains a priority while maintaining high operational standards.

My combination of hands-on transport experience, fleet compliance knowledge and senior operational management experience enables me to understand both the strategic and day-to-day requirements of running a successful transport operation.
